LIVE NATIVITY

The Christmas Eve Nativity Pageant has become a great tradition here at St. Martin’s and many people look forward to seeing our parish children present this Nativity Scene.

As in past years, the Nativity Scene will be performed at the 4:00 PM Mass on Christmas Eve.  If you give your child permission to participate in this beautiful opportunity, there are three things that I ask you to commit to:

  1. Your child has to be present for three practices:

  • Sunday, December 15th from 12:15 to 1:30 PM

  • Sunday, December 22nd from 9:45 to 10:45 AM

  • Christmas Eve, December 24th from 2:30 until the end of the 4:00 PM Mass

2. Complete the form at the bottom of this page by December 8th.  This is important because the first rehearsal is the following Sunday, December 15th.

3. We are in need of some parents to cue the children and to help with their costumes. For families participating for the first time, we have some costumes and accessories.  But you may need to supply some items as well.  Most often what we need is garland, sweatpants, and sweatshirts.  Once we have established the various roles, we can better tell you what will be needed, but it will be very simple.

The children will be told at the first practice what their roles in the program will be.  If anyone has any costumes from years past, especially hoods that the cows, sheep, and goats wore, please bring them with you.

We are all looking forward to a beautiful presentation of the Birth of Jesus, our Savior.
