Dear Parents,
Welcome to the Pre-K class! I am delighted to have this opportunity to work with you and your child this year. I have many exciting things planned and I cannot wait to get started. The following is information that will be helpful for you as we begin the school year together.

- SNACK BREAK- A snack break has been planned each morning. I ask that you pack 1 “healthy” snack and a drink for your child each day. Please practice with your child so that he/she will be able to open his/her snack independently.
- SCHOOL BAGS- Please send in $4.00 (cash preferred) to cover your child’s school bag fee. The children will receive natural tote bags that we will paint throughout the school year.
- COMMUNICATION- If you ever need to get in touch with me concerning your child, please send me an email (click here) or leave me a voicemail (215-862-2075 X 317). I will get back in touch with you as soon as possible. A classroom wikispace (click here) has been set up to keep you informed of all the information regarding Pre-K. Be sure to check it out!
- SHOW AND TELL- Your child will be assigned a show and tell day that will coincide with our weekly theme and letter. Items from home should only come to school this day and should be related to the theme or letter. Be creative!
- EXTRA CLOTHES- Please send in a full set of clothes to school in a labeled zip lock bag. The clothes do not need to be a uniform, but do need to be weather appropriate (i.e. long pants, not shorts)
FULL DAY STUDENTS- If your child is enrolled all day, he/she will need to bring in a blanket to lay on during rest time. You also may want to send in 1 small stuffed animal or soft item for rest time. Blankets will be sent home on the weekends for washing.

WELCOME TO 4TH GRADE!
Hello!
My name is Christine Drumm. My family and I recently relocated to the area from Dallas, Texas. I taught 5th grade the last several years at All Saints Catholic School in Dallas. I have also taught Advanced Placement History and Humanities at McKinney North High School outside of Dallas. We love Pennsylvania and this region and feel so fortunate to live is such a beautiful area of the country. We love having a “true” fall! Not many trees in Texas!!I grew up in the Chicago area and will admit that I am Cubs and Bears fan! I have a BA from the University of Texas at Dallas with a double major in Art History and History. Additionally, I have a MA from Texas Women’s University with an emphasis on American history.
I have three children. My oldest daughter attends the University of Nebraska in Lincoln and is studying marketing. Go Cornhuskers! My other daughter is a junior and my son is in 7th grade.
I love teaching and am looking forward to teaching your child this year. I take a classical, multi-discipline approach to education and incorporate many different teaching methods into each lesson so that several learning styles are served. I like to use a lot of technology and one of my goals is to help students “learn how to learn.” We do a lot of creative projects as well.
I look forward to meeting you all and I thank you for the opportunity to teach your child this year.
Christine Drumm
